Indyvet Emergency And Specialty Hospital

I feel I was over charged. I felt they were confused about my dog. I was told he was in surgery when I told them NO surgery. It’s a shame for people who love their pets but can’t afford emergency care. Do these people really love animals?

Very caring professionals who got us in and out very quickly. Considering it was in the middle of the night visit, I thought the pricing was reasonable.

⭐ ONE STAR — IF I COULD GIVE ZERO, I WOULD. I have waited to write this review until my beloved Jensen Dane’s ashes were returned to me because I wanted to make sure I could share my experience clearly. What happened at IndyVet on Victory Drive was absolutely heartbreaking, and I would never recommend this facility to anyone. On September 28, 2026, I rushed my 14-year-old dog, Jensen, to IndyVet in a desperate attempt to save his life. Jensen wasn’t just a dog. He was my soul dog, my best friend, and my constant companion for 14 years. I fully understood that Jensen was a senior dog and that his condition was critical. I also understand that emergency veterinary medicine is difficult. I work in the veterinary industry myself, so I know firsthand how important compassion, communication, and empathy are when families are facing the unimaginable. Unfortunately, from the moment I walked through the front door until the moment I left, the lack of empathy was astonishing. My precious Jensen took his final breath at this facility. I was completely devastated, emotionally shattered, and trying to process losing a dog who had been by my side for 14 years. I was left sitting in a room with my deceased dog for approximately 45 minutes without anyone coming to check on me. I eventually had to leave the room myself and try to find someone. Let that sink in. A grieving pet owner, sitting alone with her deceased best friend, having to search for someone because nobody thought to check on her. And then there was the financial aspect. I had already paid an $800 deposit during this emergency. The very next morning, I received a phone call regarding the remaining balance of more than $400. Not a call to ask how I was doing. Not an expression of sympathy for Jensen. Not even a simple acknowledgment of the devastating loss I had experienced. Just a call about money. I understand veterinary services cost money. I understand bills must be paid. My complaint is NOT about being charged for medical care. My complaint is about the complete lack of humanity and compassion surrounding those charges. When someone walks into your emergency hospital carrying a dying family member, they deserve more than a financial transaction. They deserve kindness. They deserve communication. They deserve dignity. And when that beloved animal passes away, they deserve compassion. I didn’t expect anyone to save Jensen if his little body could no longer fight. But I absolutely expected to be treated like a human being whose heart was breaking. You may not have been able to save my Jensen, but you certainly could have treated us both with more compassion. I will never get that night back. I will never get another moment with my boy. And unfortunately, the memory of his final moments will forever include how terribly unsupported I felt at this facility. As someone in the veterinary profession, I find this experience especially disappointing. Compassion should never be optional in veterinary medicine. I would not recommend IndyVet on Victory Drive to anyone facing an emergency with their beloved pet. Jensen Dane deserved better. And so did I. 💔🐾

Front desk staff is amazing and Dr. Bryce is the best. I haven’t come for emergency services, just specialty internal medicine procedures and she thoroughly explains everything and is very empathetic to every situation. She delivers hard news very well

My poor cat had a ruptured abscess situation and I was very panicked. They were very methodical in treatment providing explanations of what to expect and what was going to happen throughout the process. Flat fee of $185 to be seen and I felt the treatment was reasonable for our situation. I think I walked out paying around 342 total with antibiotics and pain meds.
